Terms of Use

Effective Date: January 1, 2026  ·  Version 1.0 — Last Updated: 2026-01-01

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Document Sign website at document-sign.org and all related content and features (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Document Sign (“Document Sign”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

1.1 “Service” means the Document Sign website, including all articles, guides, comparisons, tools and other material we make available.
1.2 “User”, “you” or “your” means any person who accesses or uses the Service.
1.3 “Content” means all text, graphics, images, data, comparisons and other materials published on the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
2.2 Your continued use of the Service constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms as they may be updated from time to time.

3. Description of Service

3.1 Document Sign is an online knowledge base that publishes educational articles, guides and comparative information about electronic signatures and third-party electronic-signature services.
3.2 The Service describes and compares products and services offered by third parties. We are not a provider of electronic-signature software, and we do not process, witness, store or execute any signatures or documents on your behalf.
3.3 The Content is general educational material about electronic signatures and the law relating to them. It does not constitute legal, financial or professional advice, and no lawyer–client or other professional relationship is created by your use of the Service. For advice on a specific document or situation, consult a qualified professional.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses

4.1 You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or related systems;
  • Introduce malware, scrape at a scale that disrupts the Service, or interfere with its normal operation;
  • Copy, reproduce or republish substantial portions of the Content without permission;
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with Document Sign or use our name or branding to deceive others.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 All Content created by Document Sign, including text, layout, graphics and the compilation of comparisons, is owned by or licensed to Document Sign and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
5.2 Product names, logos and trademarks of third parties referenced on the Service are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and descriptive purposes.
5.3 You may link to and share our pages, and quote brief excerpts with attribution, but you may not reproduce the Service's Content wholesale without our prior written consent.

6. Termination

6.1 We may suspend or restrict access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or to protect the Service.
6.2 Because the Service is an informational website and does not require an account, termination simply means your access may be restricted. Any data we hold is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. DOCUMENT SIGN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE. DOCUMENT SIGN DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY OR TIMELINESS OF ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION PRICING, PLAN DETAILS, FEATURES AND COMPLIANCE INFORMATION ABOUT THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, WHICH MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME. YOU SHOULD VERIFY SUCH INFORMATION DIRECTLY WITH THE RELEVANT PROVIDER BEFORE RELYING ON IT. THE CONTENT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL ADVICE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND ANY RELIANCE ON THE CONTENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DOCUMENT SIGN, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE OR ANY CONTENT, OR ANY DECISION MADE OR ACTION TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON THE CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. TO THE EXTENT ANY LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).

9. Changes to Terms

9.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
9.2 Material changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
10.2 You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
10.3 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
